BIG JOHN reinvigorates the timeless Waist Overall, a garment that predates the very words 'jeans' and 'denim'. Originating in 1880 as an evolution from the classic OVERALL, this historic style is reborn for the modern era.

Material: The fabric used is akin to that in EXTRA-CHINOS, meeting the strictest organic certification standards (100% ORGANIC COTTON). Unlike commonly modified white cotton, we've chosen naturally brown cotton, rooted in ancient times. This unaltered, natural color results in a yarn with a unique depth and character.

In weaving this fabric, we use natural starch glue, minimizing environmental impact. Our traditional power looms produce a texture impossible to achieve with modern looms, characterized by a unique tactile surface. The visible specks and fragments of cotton husk on the fabric's surface testify to its natural origins.

This creation is a testament to BIG JOHN's commitment to meticulous craftsmanship, evolving from cotton to yarn, yarn to fabric, and fabric to the final product.
