This is a limited edition special finish jeans created experimentally at BIG JOHN's Wash Lab.
The whiskers and overall color fading are achieved using data from BIG JOHN's vintage archive and laser engraving. In addition, a two-step process involving manual craftsmanship is applied to add distressing, stitching, and paintwork. It is truly an art piece born from the combination of the latest technology and artisanal work in Kojima.
The back label is made of recycled paper and sewn on after all the processes are completed, giving it a refined impression.
About the Silhouette:
This model features a simple regular straight silhouette that offers a modern and clean look with just the right amount of room around the waist.
It is an evolved version of Big John's classic style, "BIG WASH." The authentic fit of the classic 5-pocket design, neither too wide nor too slim, gives it a fresh appeal.
About the Fabric:
This denim fabric is rope-dyed by Shōwa, a long-established dyeing company in the Kojima region of Okayama, just like the main factory of Big John. It is a special fabric that retains the atmosphere of the 1960s while modernizing it.
